Surrey Hampshire Borders NHS Trust, Surrey Oaklands NHS Trust and North West Surrey Partnership NHS Trust merged together on 1st April 2005 to form the Surrey wide mental health trust, Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust.

The priorities for the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust will be to become an organisation, which engages with the people who use its services, their carers, its staff, local authority staff and the local communities it serves. This will take forward and build upon the current best practice within the three Trusts.
