London North West University Healthcare is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our local population in North West London. Our vision is to create an integrated healthcare organisation that is recognised locally and nationally for outstanding clinical services, research and education. St Mark’s & LNWUH has a major teaching commitment and we have recently been awarded University Hospital status after being granted membership of the Association of UK University Hospitals. We are successful at what we do but want to continually build and improve on our success in order to provide increasingly innovative services and deliver the highest possible quality of care. London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is one of the largest integrated NHS Trusts in the country. Formed in 2014 following a merger of Ealing Hospitals NHS Trust and North West London Hospitals Trust, we are the first Trust of its kind to provide complete hospital-based and community healthcare services to a combined population of 930,000 in the boroughs of Brent, Harrow and Ealing. We have an annual budget of over £670 million and employ over 9,000 staff across a number of sites in our three boroughs, including our four major hospitals: Ealing, Central Middlesex, Northwick Park and our internationally-renowned St Mark’s.

As an integrated healthcare provider, we are already making a difference to people’s lives in delivering seamless acute, tertiary, specialist and community services and by maintaining patients in their homes where appropriate, thereby minimising the time spent in hospital, consistent with the best quality outcome for patients. But we are also investing heavily in our services and infrastructure - this includes developing new operating theatres and a new A&E unit at Northwick Park Hospital. Our Central Middlesex Hospital is a state of the art elective surgery centre.  We understand that the high quality of our clinical services depends on our ability to recruit and retain highly skilled, motivated and committed people whilst recognising their valuable contributions. Working for the Trust can be challenging and very busy but ultimately it’s a worthwhile, rewarding and positive experience not only for our staff but the service users we care for. You will be joining a unique Trust at the most exciting time in our development.

Our employees are our most valued asset and so we want all our employees to develop both personally and professionally in their working lives and, most importantly, to enjoy working for the Trust. We have a rich pool of clinical and scientific knowledge which makes us extraordinarily well-placed to develop clinical skills and careers and positively encourage postgraduate study and research with an active programme of workshops and seminars delivered from a number of education centres across our sites. Our research culture has long been at the centre of our ability to deliver excellence in healthcare and we are proud to continue to host the North West London Research Hub, a centre of world-class research. We are proud to have a workforce which reflects the diversity of our communities and maintaining this diversity is critically important to the mission of our Trust in providing inclusive services that meet the needs of our patients. The Trust has a Positive about Disability accreditation and is also a Mindful Employer – this means we are committed to ensuring that, wherever possible, disabled people who work at the Trust are supported and provided with any reasonable adjustments they might need to enable them to carry out their role. The Trust is also committed to achieving sexual orientation equality and is a Stonewall Diversity Champion.
